Tabernacle Plans at Morrison Park

After many months of fundraising, and soliciting donations, it seems we have reached a place where we must make a decision about the tabernacle, and what to build. We have, thank the Lord, reached an amount we were hoping at the very least, would be possible to raise. With donations and pledges, we have approximately $21,000. If we could build the tabernacle ourselves and eliminate much of the labor, this would greatly enhance what we could do, however; we have to deal with the situation we have. There is no one now available with the necessary skills to do this, therefore we must hire the laborers. We have an estimate that should allow us to build a 80 x 30 structure over the existing concrete, wood frame, using the original metal trusses, metal roof, and partially enclosed with brown metal. We will hopefully, with this amount have the resources to build the podium/pulpit area, and do the necessary electrical writing for the building. Any additional monies beyond this work would likely need to go toward some type of seating for the tabernacle. We are very thankful for those who gave much, and likewise, so thankful for those who could only afford to give a little. I am personally disappointed by many who chose to do nothing. But, I do rejoice that the Lord has answered our prayer, and Lord willing we will soon have a tabernacle where services will be held. Mike Wilson, "Two Brothers Construction," can build a structure similar in design to the photo sketch above. They are very excited about this work, and should be able to start the project by mid-June. Several trees have to be removed that interfere with the building. Bob Bell has taken on the project to remove the trees. We thank him for this work and all he and his wife Edie have done, to beautify the park with their glorious flowers and landscaping. Thanks again to everyone that has helped out, given, and made the building of the tabernacle possible. Please continue to pray for our efforts as we continue on. God Bless you all , Gary Bewley
